Denver, CO Alumni Workshop
05/12/2015
" Awakening Your Inner Adult"
Presented by: Karen A. Kral, M.A., LPC, Certified Facilitator of Inner Bonding®

All Denver-area Alumni and Family Member Alumni are welcome to attend a special workshop on
Tuesday, May 12, 2015!

Do you sometimes feel overwhelmed with emotion-anxiety, fear, rage, sadness-and feel like you are drowning in a sea of darkness? Or, do you numb your emotions and get caught in cycles of addiction, perfectionism and internal pressure? These two polarities exemplify how we have been conditioned to "take care of ourselves" when life is challenging. In the first case, we become our "inner child" and there is no one to pull us out of the dark sea. In the second, we become authoritarian parents who shove our emotions to the side and hope that by ignoring, suppressing or medicating them, we will somehow manage to get by, and hopefully look really good doing it! For those of us who have teetered to one of these sides or who have alternated between the two, we know that neither of these "parenting" styles really brings the joy that we want. Becoming a loving internal parent is the goal of Inner Bonding®, and is the work that I am pleased to share with you.

In this experiential workshop, you will learn how to cultivate a loving adult self who is capable of caring for the wounded parts of you. You will learn to recognize and lovingly restrain your sleek but not - always-so-helpful "wounded teenager" who has a million strategies to keep you "safe", but who prevents you from shining your "light" and living your potential. And, you will have the opportunity to deepen your relationship with your higher power and find out how to use your guidance as an in-the-moment resource for practical, everyday living. We will laugh. We may cry. But, we will definitely have fun. I hope you will join us.
