Nestled at the base of the Santa Catalina Mountains in Tucson, Arizona, Sierra Tucson offers immersive residential care for adults age 18 and older who are suffering from mental health and addiction concerns. Our campus is a restorative setting where residents receive clinically excellent treatment in a safe, private and serene environment.

Since 1984, Sierra Tucson has been a trusted resource for the integrated, whole-person approach to care we provide, serving individuals from across the nation who are ready to step away from daily pressures and fully focus on healing.

Who We Serve

Our multidisciplinary clinical teams are highly experienced in caring for individuals who have complex needs. They are specially trained to work with various populations, including:

  • Individuals who have anxiety or mood disorders like depression and bipolar disorder
  • Individuals who have been impacted by trauma
  • Individuals who are struggling with addictions and co-occurring concerns
  • Licensed professionals, such as physicians, attorneys, executives and other high-responsibility individuals who require confidentiality and a treatment team that understands professional stressors

Each resident receives individualized care that is designed to address immediate concerns while also helping them uncover the deeper factors that may be contributing to the mental health or substance use challenges they are struggling with.

A Residential Experience Designed for You

Residents on our campus stay in southwestern-inspired lodges that include semiprivate rooms with full bathrooms. The environment balances comfort, community and time for quiet reflection.

Features of our campus include:

  • Walking paths and mountain views
  • Fitness center, pool and sports courts
  • Equine areas
  • Outdoor experiential spaces
  • Indoor and outdoor dining
  • Labyrinth, climbing wall and ropes course

Every detail is designed to reduce distractions and encourage deeper engagement in treatment. Each day follows a structured yet balanced schedule that integrates therapy, medical services, wellness activities and personal time. This predictable rhythm reduces external stressors and allows individuals to remain focused on their healing process.

Individualized Care Rooted in Clinical Excellence

Residential care at Sierra Tucson is grounded in evidence-based psychiatry, advanced diagnostics and individualized treatment planning. Rather than taking part in predefined programs, residents receive care that is shaped by the results of comprehensive assessments and ongoing collaboration between them and our clinicians.

  • Individual therapy
  • Group therapy

Elevated Integrative Services

For those who are seeking an expansive healing experience, Sierra Tucson offers optional integrative services. These services complement the traditional therapies we offer by supporting nervous system regulation, physical restoration and emotional resilience.

Our integrative service options are extensive but can include:

  • Naturopathic medicine
  • Acupuncture
  • Therapeutic massage
  • Craniosacral and somatic-based therapies
  • Neurofeedback and applied neuroscience services
  • Physical therapy
  • Chiropractic care
  • Personal training

These services are delivered by highly trained specialists who have vast experience in their specific disciplines.

Residents work with their treatment teams to determine which services may be of most benefit to their overall therapeutic process.

Preparing for Life Beyond Treatment

Discharge planning begins at the time of admission, with dedicated case management professionals supporting each resident’s transition out of treatment.

Continuing care options may include step-down services, alumni engagement and referrals that are tailored to a resident’s personal, professional and geographic restrictions.

Our goal is to help our residents feel confident in the progress they make with us and prepared to continue their healing journeys once they have left our residential treatment center.

My treatment experience taught me how to live. My life before was a fast track to death.
