Ruben Grace, LMSW

Primary Therapist

Ruben F. Grace, LMSW was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. He completed his Bachelors and Master of Social Work at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ, with emphasis in Direct Clinical Practice. He has over 24 years of Social Services including establishing a LGBTQ+ Youth Community Center, Leadership and Sports Youth Camps at both Stanford University, and Arizona State.

He has been trained to utilize various therapeutic modalities including; EMDR, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused CBT, CBT, Family Systems, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, and Motivational interviewing. Ruben’s initial Trauma and Addiction experience has roots working in Public Health, providing HIV/AIDS education, prevention, and testing/counseling in both the Tucson and Metro Phoenix.

His treatment knowledge includes Complex PTSD, Borderline Personality Disorder, Anxiety/Panic Disorders, Mood Disorders, Anger-management, LGBTQ+ issues, and Addiction. During the pandemic he worked in one of the only facilities seeing face to face clients struggling with isolation due COVID-10 and/or the trauma endured during medical hospitalization.

Ruben was active in promoting diversity and inclusiveness at Arizona State in the Greek Fraternity/Sorority Community. A 2006 ASU LGBTQIA Coalition Campus Leadership Award Recipient. He is a proud pug-father of three (Bluray, Mylo, and Heiress Chanel) and is fluent in Spanish. He also enjoys Rugby and 80’s horror films.
