Equine Therapist
Abbey Nemec is a Licensed Master Social Worker who graduated from Arizona State University with a Master’s of Social Work. She is certified by the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association in the EAGALA model of equine therapy as a mental health professional, equine specialist and has her individual military designation. As a therapist, Abbey strives to create an environment in which residents feel safe and empowered by utilizing a variety of therapeutic interventions including CBT, DBT, mindfulness, somatic experience and emotional regulation.
