Nourishment Webinar: Compassion Fatigue Prevention for Clinicians and Supervisors

Working with individuals who have experienced trauma presents unique challenges to behavioral health professionals, including the potential for vicarious traumatization and compassion fatigue. Join CEO of Sierra by the Sea & Sunrise Ranch, Michelle Beaudoin, MA, MFA, NCC, CADC-II, to learn more about how clinicians and supervisors can identify early signs of compassion fatigue, individual risk factors and vulnerabilities, in order to provide guidance for helping helpers to enhance their compassion satisfaction. Michelle Beaudoin, MA, MFA, NCC, CADC-II - Chief Executive Officer Sierra by the Sea & Sunrise Ranch

Michelle Beaudoin began her 20-year career in behavioral health as a substance use disorder counselor in an inpatient treatment facility in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York. Over the years she has dedicated herself to transformational servant leadership with an emphasis on collaborative relationship building, strategic problem-solving, and program development. She most recently served as Senior Vice President of a California-based behavioral health non-profit agency overseeing over $40 million worth of contracts located throughout Southern California to include children, youth, and adult mental health programs, drug court programs, a perinatal residential program, and teen recovery centers.

Michelle has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University at Albany, a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Union Institute and University, and a Masters in Fine Arts in Fiction Writing from Southern New Hampshire University. Michelle’s MA thesis focused on mitigating compassion fatigue in substance use disorder counselors, a topic about which she has researched and lectured extensively.
