Thanksgiving in the Community

Tucson, AZ (PRWEB) November 27, 2012

The staff at Sierra Tucson is once again displaying their commitment to helping those in need. During the week of Thanksgiving, staff donated 89 turkeys to Catalina Community Services and a local church that helps to feed the poor. Sierra Tucson employees received turkeys as gifts to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, and many gave back to the community by donating turkeys to those in need.

“I’m continually encouraged by our staff’s generosity,” said Stephen Fahey, MSW, MBA, Executive Director. “Their spirit of compassion is clearly seen at this time of year as they make extra efforts to help the community. This reflects their dedication and teamwork year-round to serving our patients with compassionate care.”

In addition, Sierra Tucson will again be contributing food, clothing, and gifts this holiday season to Catalina Community Services, a nonprofit organization that serves residents in the far northwest corner of Tucson, Ariz.

“Every year, Sierra Tucson’s staff join efforts and adopt families from the local resource center,” said Mary Norton of Sierra Tucson’s Intake Department. “Last year we were blessed to be able to adopt 15 families, and this year we’ll be helping at least 21 children.”

“It is gratifying to share from our own blessings and help families’ and children’s holiday wishes come true,” added Fahey.
