Sierra Iuro, LMSW

Family Therapist

Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, Sierra attended Loyola University Chicago and received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology. After undergrad, Sierra moved to sunny Arizona and began working a respite program and at a residential facility serving foster children and adolescents who struggled with behavioral issues.

Sierra was hired on at Sierra Tucson as a Residential Counselor and then became a Lead Residential Counselor as she completed her Master’s in Social Work from Arizona State University. While completing her Master’s, Sierra interned at Sierra Tucson alongside the Primary Therapist team and then became a Primary Therapist after finishing graduate school.

Her therapeutic areas of interest include working with the young adult population, healing trauma, and using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help people create meaning and align with their values. Currently, she serves the Sierra Tucson community as a Family Therapist who facilitates Family Week and assists with family outreach calls. Outside of Family Week, Sierra works with folks struggling with symptoms of trauma, OCD, and chronic pain. Sierra is a hybrid staff member residing in Mississippi with her significant other who is in the Air Force. In her spare time, Sierra enjoys curating Spotify playlists, frequenting local coffee shops, visiting Arizona, and playing with her cat, Ginger.
