Integrating an Integrative: Implications for Implementing a Bioneurofeedback Program

 

Presenter: Dr. Antoinette Giedzinska-Simons |Director of Behavioral Medicine at Sierra Tucson

Implementing a viable biofeedback program into an integrative mental health inpatient rehabilitation program has its appeals and its challenges. The presentation will outline what the field of bioneurofeedback can add to clinical treatment programs based on its dynamic system of training, education, and empowerment for patients. The presentation will also discuss how creative programmatic solutions toward integrating biofeedback to coalesce within a greater integrative mental health system can be done, along with the challenges to consider when implementing such a program. Discussion will ensue regarding Sierra Tucson bioneurofeedback program’s model and methods.

 

Dr. Antoinette Giedzinska-Simons received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Southern California, where her training emphasized the bio-psycho-social approaches in behavioral medicine, research, and clinical work. Dr. Antoinette provides leadership for several departmental systems, namely Psychology, PsychoNeuroPhysiology, and Outcomes Research. Her enthusiasm as a scientist/practitioner is not only to support staff and educate patients towards resiliency, quality of life enhancement, and stress reduction and management, but to continue one of her favorite passions in life, which is to be part of multidisciplinary teams that collaborate in and integrate cutting-edge modalities aimed to enhance the mind-body connection.

 

Cost & Registration:

$10 per person with pre-registration by the Monday prior to the Breakfast. Seating is limited to 50 participants for each session, with no exceptions. Therefore, walk-ins may not be accommodated at this event. Please complete the registration section below.
