Members of the LGBTQIA+ community are at a higher risk for struggling with addiction concerns and mental health disorders. Sierra Tucson has the programming, policies and professionals in place to ensure that these individuals receive the personalized, supportive treatment they deserve.
A Safe & Welcoming Environment
For those who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual or otherwise, it’s vital to participate in treatment in an environment that provides safety, support and understanding. Patients will find a zero tolerance policy when it comes to discrimination.
Dedicated Groups for Healing
We design all programming to address the unique needs of our LGBTQIA+ patients. Individuals who are participating in residential treatment will have access to two weekly LGBTQIA+ support groups. We also offer individual therapy sessions that address sexuality and gender on an as-needed basis.
We recognize that each LGBTQIA+-identifying patient who is struggling has had unique experiences that have led them to us, and we make it our mission to provide compassionate, personalized care that can begin to plant the seeds of change toward better, healthier days ahead.
Therapies are offered to residents based on a customized plan created by Sierra Tucson’s on-site clinicians and doctors. View a complete list of therapy options by clicking here.
