Sue Menzie, BSN, MS

Chief Quality/Risk Officer

Sue Menzie, BSN, MS, serves as the chief quality/risk officer at Sierra Tucson. A registered nurse for over 40 years, including over 30 years in behavioral health, Sue has experience in all facets of behavioral health care, from acute inpatient to outpatient, for patients of all ages. She has a history of management in health care, as well as other non-health care businesses – non-profit, for-profit, public and private settings. In addition to her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University, Chico, Sue has a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from Bellevue University in Omaha, NE. Her recent work has included servicing in hospitals as the director of nursing and clinical services, manager of psychiatric services and mental health director in psychiatric acute units, chemical dependency, eating disorders, geriatric and outpatient settings, as well as crisis intervention, brief therapy, case management, and mobile crisis team. Sue has taught behavioral health nursing at both community college and university levels. Prior to her role as chief quality/risk officer, she served as the director of nursing and director of quality improvement at Sierra Tucson.
