Tools for Building Healthy Relationships

Wednesday, June 12, 2019

Presenter: Julie Williamson, LPC, NCC, RPY

Event Description:

Are you tired of finding yourself in relationships (both romantic and non-romantic) with life-draining people? Do you notice yourself repeating the same mistakes in relationships that you swore you'd never repeat again? Maybe you feel like you’re always the one putting forth effort in a relationship and you’d love to find a friend or partner who reciprocates!

The good news is, there is research that tells us how we develop bonds with one another and provides us with information on how to determine if the person we’re entering into any kind of relationship with (business, romantic, friendship, etc.) is someone we can trust and rely on.

Participants in this workshop will:

  1. Learn the 5 predictive areas to explore in a prospective relationship and what the research says about each
  2. Learn about the 5 bonding dynamics that create attachments in relationships
  3. Participants will learn practical tools to apply when exploring each of the five predictive areas and when evaluating the bonding dynamics at play in their relationships.
