Lisa Takamiya, CYT-200

Yoga Instructor

Lisa Takamiya started yoga in 1988 in N.Y.C.  She was working and going to school,  and she was looking for a way to de-stress and feel better about herself.  She fell in love with yoga in her first class, and she never looked back.

She was trained in many styles of yoga including Iyengar, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Yin yoga.  She was certified in Bikram Yoga in 2000 and she did the Bikram advanced training in 2009. In 2011 Lisa went back to N.Y.C. and received her Grande Diploma in Culinary Arts at the French Culinary Institute. She recently got her Level 1 certification in Yoga For First Responders, and she loves working with the Red, White, and Blue group. Lisa is most passionate about living a healthy balanced lifestyle and loves supporting and empowering others to live their best life. She is grateful and honored to be a part of the experiential team at Sierra Tucson.

The time spent at Sierra Tucson was the true beginning of my journey. Not only did I overcome my addictions, but I began to focus on the root causes that created my compulsions. I understand myself so much better now.
