S. Kathleen Bailey, PhD
Post-Doctoral Clinical Psychology Fellow
Dr. S. Kathleen Bailey recently received her Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Canada. She completed an APPIC (Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers) internship through Queens University in Kingston, Canada with rotations in neuropsychological assessment and developmental psychology. Dr. Bailey obtained extensive experience as a health researcher with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine and Vrije Universiteit (Belgium). She has co-authored scientific publications on topics such as the systemic and patient-level effects of integrating specialized mental health services with traditional medical models, the complimentary use of integrative practices in the treatment of complex trauma (e.g., Indigenous drumming, smudging), and clinical decision making- particularly at the end of life. Dr. Bailey is excited to be working with residents at Sierra Tucson on integrating clinical knowledge with scientific evidence towards meeting and maintaining their recovery goals. She is a devoted admirer of the Catalina Mountains and the unique flora that surround the Sierra Tucson campus. Hiking, sailing, and exploring southern Arizona’s farmer’s markets are how she spends her free time.
