Mood & Anxiety Disorders Treatment
Sierra Tucson’s Mood and Anxiety Program (MAP) is designed to meet the needs of people suffering from depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety or panic disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and other affective disorders. This innovative program provides individualized treatment based on the patient’s case history and in-depth evaluations conducted during the Intake process and after admission. Our bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach integrates the full range of treatment options to meet each patient’s specific needs. The Sierra Model® continues to provide the foundation for this program, caring for a person’s mind, body, spirit, and emotions. Intensive and ongoing therapeutic work from various approaches helps individuals break through to their own underlying problems. Group therapy that specifically focuses on the issues related to mood and anxiety disorders is highly effective and complements any other previous or current treatment for addictions, eating disorders, or trauma. Treatment modalities may include:
All patients, including psychiatric and mental health patients, are treated with dignity and respect at Sierra Tucson. Each person is individually assessed to see if medication is warranted and to achieve the most optimal medication strategy. Emphasis is placed on engaging the patient in the therapeutic process as soon as possible, and each patient's treatment plan is based on his or her individual needs. Focus on continuing care is critical throughout the patient's stay to help ensure a smooth transition and a higher likelihood of sustained recovery. Offering a safe, nurturing environment, Sierra Tucson is ideal for those capable of handling an open campus yet in need of intensive therapy and sustained engagement within the patient community. |
