Event Description:
In this workshop, we will discuss how trauma affects physiology - the brain and the body. We will discuss triggers, regulating emotions, building resilience, and setting boundaries. We will also explore experiential exercises to help you understand how trauma impacts you now and how you can regain balance and work toward healing old wounds.

Linnea Butler is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the founder of Bay Area Mental Health, a specialty practice that focuses on treating trauma, abuse, mood disorders, substance abuse, and dual diagnosis. Linnea is passionate about trauma therapy and uses both somatic approaches and DBT in individual and group therapy. Prior to starting Bay Area Mental Health, Linnea ran a 500-patient outpatient program at Momentum for Mental Health.
