Liz Dampsey, PhD, SEP, recently completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Fielding Graduate University. She also holds an MA in Psychology from Sonoma State University. Dr. Dampsey has been passionate about psychology for most of her life, especially as it relates to mind-body integration and healing. She is a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), movement-based expressive arts therapy practitioner, and spiritual director. She has extensive training and experience in equine-assisted psychotherapy, as well as grief and loss resolution. In her free time, Dr. Dampsey loves to dance, partner with horses, hike, bike, and travel. Her career goals include combining equine-assisted psychotherapy and Somatic Experiencing to help individuals heal from trauma. Dr. Dampsey also is interested in helping to advance research in this field.
