@SupermodelEmme To Be LIVE Tweeting

NYC #BodyBeaUtiful

Call to Action on August 1st and 2nd

How Would Life Be Different If Everyone Loved Their Bodies!

NEW YORK, NY- July 30, 2015  Supermodel and internationally recognized advocate for positive body image, EMME, will be filming on the streets of New York City this weekend, August 1st and 2nd for a #BodyBeaUtiful YouTube call to action. Emme and her team of social media interns will be live-tweeting as they move to the various locations across NYC to film the @SupermodleEmme Channel YouTube project.

EMME will ask 100 men and women one question: If you woke up and loved your body, how would your life be different and why?

EMME says, “An overwhelming percentage of women and an increasing number of men are dissatisfied with their bodies.  I’m stunned by the magnitude of statistics I’ve read and thought to myself, how would life be different if all those people loved and embraced their bodies. That’s when I decided to go on a mission and find out!  We’re talking to real people with real bodies about real feelings.  I’m so fortunate to have the support of leaders in the mental health field, Sierra Tucson and Timberline Knolls, to help make this project possible.”

Once the campaign is complete, the #BodyBeaUtiful interviews will serve as a body image series for YouTube’s SupermodelEmme Channel.

This Body Image call to action is coming at a time when the feminist and body acceptance movement is a current hot button and controversial issue in society. The YouTube series will show how prevalent body bashing is today, among both men and women, and open the audience’s eyes as to how it adversely affects our lives, every day. Responses from interviewees will also provide insight into how contemporary society’s narrow viewpoint of a person’s body holds people back instead of propelling them towards better health, a better life, or a “better” body, encouraging all who view the series and or film to think of ways to improve self-talk and corporate decision making for the betterment of the society as a whole.

Emme has been in the fashion and entertainment industry for more than two decades- from plus-sized supermodel, to TV personality, to author, NEDA Ambassador and more. Throughout her career she has continuously supported women of all sizes embracing their bodies, and has become internationally recognized as an advocate for positive body image, self-esteem, and model diversity.
